25.5 inch scale length neck with a Paddle head stock is ready for a 3-4 string cigar box guitar. We cut head
recess
to 5/8“ thick.
Neck is 34" long, 1.5" wide, there is 12" (or more) from the end of the last fret slot to tail end. That is blank space enough for your tail piece design. Neck is finished with 180 fine grit sandpaper. Our necks may have a light bow. When they do, we make sure to always cut the head stock and box recess so that the head stock is bowed back instead of forward. This can actually be good. When the strings are on the neck, they will be more resilient to the string tension.
This Cigar Box Guitar Neck is inexpensive, great for first-timers, and a wonderful project for you to craft a cool instrument no matter what your skill level.
