    Description

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage atomic era ceiling mount light fixture.  Circa '50s / '60s. The fixture consists of a pierced chrome metal shade, and a glass insert the fits snuggly into the bottom from the inside.  The fixture has two sockets, and operates with two standard sized lightbulbs. Uncertain as to the maker.  We believe these fixtures have the capability of being used either indoors or outdoors.  They'll make a nice addition to any mid century modern, atomic era home!
    PLEASE NOTE
: We have a total of three of these fixtures - each will be listed separately.  Also, we do combine shipping if you are interested in more than one.
Measurements: Approx. 8.5" in diameter (measured across the top) x 8.5" wide x 8.5" deep x 4.75" high.
Condition: The fixture is in very good condition.  The pierced chrome portion is free from dents, dings, rust, oxidation, bends, breaks, repairs, etc.  There are some small superficial scratch marks on it, mainly around the holes where the screws are inserted, but nothing that we'd consider objectionable whatsoever - can most likely be buffed out with a little effort.  We did not attempt to clean or polish the fixture.  The glass shade portion of the fixture is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc.  The inside of the chrome portion shows a little bit of residual white paint that must've gotten on it when the previous owners painted around their ceiling.  It is not visible as it is, and should come off quite easily, if desired.  The socket plate requires two simple screws to hold it in place - one is there, and there other is missing... a cheap and inexpensive fix that can be purchased at any hardware store.  The fixture needs to be hard-wired into the ceiling.  As with all vintage lighting and electronics, we always strongly encourage having a licensed professional inspect the fixture prior to long-term use.  Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage them prior to purchasing, please. Thanks for looking!
