The Seachoice Throwable Foam Boat Cushion has nylon outer fabric, and helps you be compliant in your boat with USCGA type IV emergency flotation. Every boat has one or more of these cushions for sitting on fiberglass or hardwood surfaces in a boat, canoe, fishing boat, row boat, or other watercraft. This adds additional safety to your boat by providing you with throwable flotation cushions. Another example of a Type IV Throwable flotation is a life saver ring. This cushion is not to be worn like a vest and it may not exempt you from keeping life jackets in your boat for all adult passengers. Please check your boating laws in your state. In all states, children still need a wearable Coast Guard Approved life vest. Please note that cushions may or may not have the word Seachoice at the top.
