    Description

    This fleece is from a lovely lady named Moose. Moose likes food, alot... so her fleece, unfortunately, has a quite a bit of vegetable matter in it. This fleece this year is a little shorter in staple length than she typically would have due to being shown in a few slick shorn classes.  Moose is a Hampshire, this breed is considered a Down breed. The Down breeds' wool has very small crimp and ranges from about 24-34 microns. This type of wool is durable, soft, and lofty. Great for socks and mittens.
    I would recommend using this fleece for felting, the wool felts beautifully.  Staple length is 2 inches, it can be spun but will be challenging to do so.  Please see pictures all are examples of Moose's fleece.  Total fleece weight is 5 lbs.  Fleece is being offered in 1/2 lb lots.
