Description
An 1800`s ceiling mount solid brass gas lighting fixture converted to electric in the 1920`s. The light is working and offered as found with the recommendation that it be rewired. The 100 year old cloth covered wire not safe in today`s standards for regular use.A recent find from an old Ohio barn full of similar antiques. The finish is original and the patina on the brass is beautiful. The light could be polished, but the original patina has a great look. The light appears to be free of any defects or damage. The canopy is original as well. There is no smoke bell, but the hook is there.
The wheel cut glass shade is original to the light according to the previous owner who removed the fixture and shade from the farm house. The shade is free of any defects or chips.
The light measures 23 inches in length from the ceiling to the bottom of the finial. It is 11 1/2 inches wide at its middle. The glass shade is 6 1/2 in. tall.
The shade will be boxed separately for safe shipping. The canopy will be removed and wrapped separately.
