Exceptional German Silver Tea Strainer – Baroque Styling – 19
th
C.
An exquisitely crafted tea strainer in silver, with pairs of tiny angels playing in a garden between flowers and trellises around the wide rim. The handle has tiny flowers with a deep seashell at the tip.
It is a beautiful item measuring 5 5/8 inches long and 3 5/8 inches in diameter.
It is hallmarked and stamped on the top of the back of the strainer and was created by J.D. Schleisser of Hanau at the end of the XIXth century.
It is truly an outstanding piece of silversmithing mastery.
