cigar box guitar

Description

this is a family heirloom that's finally had its run. this right here is a handmade cigar box guitar. the box itself is a maroon "El Credito" cigar box. the neck is beautiful hand-carved mahogany that's unfinished (but personally I love the feel of the wood). as for the electronics, bridge, and tuners; they are Gibson selected electronics and mother of pearl tuning pegs. the guitar has mostly been a display piece but did serve its time gigging this past summer (tuned in open G this beauty plays a mean "ain't no rest for the wicked"). appraised this past July at 0 by Traugott Guitars. if you have any questions feel free to ask away.
