These are corian blanks.corian is a perfect material for guitar and stringed instrument
Nuts bridges and saddles.corian was developed as a less inexpensive substitute for marble and granite counter tops.it is durable, but it is also very easy to work with.it shapes and sands easily .you can easily and quickly shape and slot a nut or bridge in minutes with any sand paper or files or Emory cloth.you can also give it a quick Polish with a fine grit paper for a beautiful professional look.it is much less expensive than bone blanks and much much easier to work with.they sound great.your strings will ring clean and true. I know many c.b.g. builders just stick on a nut or piece of threaded rod
For nuts and bridges but honestly they do not work well .they have to much contact surface with the strings and the threads are not properly size for different gauge strings.all of which negatively effects the sound and playablity.of the instrument.these look and sound much better and really only take a few extra minutes to make.they are also superior to the cheap plastic nuts used on most instruments today.
You will get 8 piece.in sizes from approximately 1 5/8" to 2 1/4" so you can easily shape to any size you need.and for one low price you will have enough for many instruments.
