Antique Sterling Silver black enamel VANITY COMPACT POWDER CASE. With central ornament.
Full hallmarked.
Circa 1920-1930 Art Deco.
Probably Austrian.
Lovely rectangular shape
with rounded on the sides.
Design
with
central ornament in gemstone like turquoise or jade and sterling silver.
The central adornment resembles a turquoise, but I do not think it is. With a small design in sterling silver on each side. It seems to be a bird pecking some fruits.
It is opened by pressing the button in onix. Another tab in sterling to open.
Inside there is: a mirror, a space for makeup and a lipstick.
In excellent condition: The hinge fits perfect. The enamel is complete. The beveled mirror too. Interior vermeil.
Full hallmarked everywhere. Even where the lipstick went: "925" or "935" and another marks and the numbers  "906": please see the photos.
