Antique Reed and Barton 3 Piece Sterling Desk Set Hallmarked and Numbered

Description

This is a Beautiful Sterling 3-Piece Reed and Barton Desk Set.  The three pieces are all Hallmarked and stamped Sterling and each piece is monogrammed. The Calendar has Early Plastic or Lucite looking inserts that are interchangeable for the months and dates.  The calendar is adjusted for August in the main photo, today is Tuesday August 18th ad the calendar inserts work perfectly..  This item was originally listed without a knob for the ink blotter.  I had an silversmith create a custom knob for the piece that works great!
The pieces are as follows:  The calendar measures 4 inches wide by 3-1/8 inches high and has a sterling stand on the back with the Lucite calendar inserts.  It has the Hallmark of the right facing Eagle, the R and the left facing and standing Lion, STERLING, N 812 and 3 on the back.  The blotter is about 5 inches long including the wood piece that holds the paper by about 2-5/8 inches wide and 2 inches high including the handle.  It also has the Reed and Barton Hallmark as mentioned above and STERLING, N 816 stamped in the sterling.  The quill cleaner is about 2-1/4 inches wide at the bottom by 1-1/2 inches tall.  It has a horse hair (I believe) insert, and also has the Reed and Barton Hallmark and STERLING, N 819 stamped in the sterling.
Condition:  All three pieces of sterling are in great condition.  There are some dark tarnish spots left from cleaning (I did not clean them, they were cleaned before we purchased them). NOTE: The blotter was missing the knob on top so I had an artist friend of mine make a custom knob - it looks and works great!  He inserted a brass nut into the wood top and glued it in and there is a brass screw on the bottom of the knob that screws in nicely. Some of the lettering on the Lucite calendar pieces is faded.  There is normal surface scratches from age and use.  No dents that we can find.  This set is sold as is, please ask all questions before purchasing.
