    Description

Up for auction is a very nice antique French silver tastevin or wine taster.  The handle is in the form of serpents or snakes that are
    intertwined
.  From research online of similar pieces with a serpent or snake handles, it appears to date from the early to mid 19th century.  It has the maker's mark of G.B. in a diamond on the bottom and on the handle.  It also has a silver mark on the bottom, on the side and on the handle, but unable to make it out.  It has the following stamped on the rim "M FOURNIER DE TERNANT".  It measures about 3 3/8 inches wide (not including handle) and about 1 1/8 inches tall.  It weighs 3.5 ounces.  Low starting bid of .99 cents.  Please maximize all photos above as the are part of the description and ask any questions at least 24 hours prior to the auction ending.  Payment expected within 3 days after auction ends.  International bidders are responsible for all taxes, duties, tariffs or import charges in your respected country.  I do reserve the right to end the auction early as I have this piece for sale locally.  Thanks for looking.
