Antique 1901 Henry Matthews Birmingham Sterling Silver Dance Card Wallet

This beautiful sterling wallet was made by the famed Henry Matthews in Birmingham England. The sterling has beautiful engraving and scroll work with no monogram. The inside of the wallet, although stained and dirty, is intact. The piece has a beautiful patina, but would also polish up nicely. There are no major dents or scratches, just a few small minor dents on the sides that is commensurate with a piece of this age. The only flaw with the piece is that it does shut, but the clasp needs adjusting. It will shut most of the time, but tends to open up on its own.
