It’s time for me to downsize my smoke-free, pet-friendly home craft studio collection to something I might have a chance to finish in one or two lifetimes! I’m hoping to find eBaying stitchers out there, ready to sit down with their spinning wheels to 'spin a fine yarn' for an anticipated project, simultaneously keeping hands busy in these difficult times.  What a blessing to be able to turn unexpectedly idle hours into productive ones!
Spinning has been the craft I picked up last, but has turned into my most productive one, channeling zen-filled hours into yarn for my knitting.  But I've got extra materials in this discipline, as in my needle working pursuits, so I'm offering this

roving for hand spinning
for re-sale to another spinning obsessed eBayer!  This is one of the few
un-dyed rovings I've bought, and while it's a stellar example of this breed's wool, it doesn't really fit in with my kind of projects, generally a little softer and brighter than this fiber. It's not really 'black' but very dark brown with white 'frosted' throughout the roving.  It will probably spin up to a tweedy dark brown.
My favorite use for this not particularly soft type of fiber is in rugs, afghans and outer wear - it would probably be a little harsh against bare skin, particularly for anyone sensitive to wool garments or animal hair. Generally, I knit my spun wool, but many weavers spin for the purpose of making up woven products, as well.
