1933 Film Daily Year Book of Motion Pictures Fred Schuessler Gone With The Wind

This is an original 1933 edition of The Film Daily Year Book of Motion Pictures.  This volume is noteworthy since it is the personal copy of legendary Hollywood casting director Fred Schuessler with Schuessler’s name embossed on the front cover.  Fred Schuessler did the casting for Gone With The Wind, King Kong and other notable movies of the 1930s.
This 1933 edition of The Film Daily Year Book of Motion Pictures covering the movie industry of 1932.   Films listed in this directory include Scarface, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Shanghai Surprise and others.   Information is provided relating to movies released, directories of actors and others involved in the movie industry, award winners and lots more.  Also included are lots of photos of movie stars along with lots of movie industry advertising.   1932 was an important year in the Golden Age of Hollywood with Ingrid Bergman, Kathrine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Shirley Temple all launching their movie careers in 1932.
This book is a stout volume of 1024 pages plus the end papers in the original decorative hardcover binding measuring about 9.5” x 6.5”.   This 1933 Film Daily Year Book is the 15th Annual Edition.
This book is fully complete with moderate wear to the covers and toning to the paper from age.   The front hinge is partly cracked and the back hinge is completely cracked but this could easily be repaired and we can refer you to a book binder that fix this for you if you want for not a lot of money.   Other than the cracked hinges overall condition is very good.  Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.
