These asymmetrical lights are special....they have both a tall and a short prismatic glass shade.  These have a very interesting look and work very well....I love them. Those of you that have been searching for a while know that they come in a shorter version and also a version with two tall shades. If you would like the shades to both be tall...I can do that too....just ask. Are you looking for the shorter version....I have them in stock too.
These big guys were rescued from a doomed coal-fired power plant. They spent their career illuminating a large coal bin, above a gantry crane loading coal into the furnaces. The ceilings were over 100 feet high!
Past customers know the great care and expertise I bring to my trade. No light leaves until I'm satisfied they will serve the buyer well.
I try to not
over-restore
my lights and these are no exception. While the lights were cleaned extremely well inside and out, I allowed the aged patina to remain, well earned patina that tells a story. Dark areas, light spots and paint drips are all part of the mystique gained through decades of devoted service.
The  asbestos gaskets were removed and replaced with new, machine-cut, cork gaskets. Please be very careful when buying these old lights. I've seen many so-called restored lights retaining their deadly asbestos gaskets. The heat of the bulbs in a dry environment make the asbestos friable (
brittle and dusty)
and especially dangerous. (Public Service Announcement I suppose)
The re-wired sockets are of the mogul type but I will include easily removable adapters so the buyer may use standard household bulbs if desired. These sockets allow sooooo many options as to light bulbs...including LED if you'd like.
In keeping with the extremely high quality construction of the light, I have equipped it with a heavy-duty cast iron Crouse-Hinds hanger. If you would like shock absorbers, we can add those for a fee. The light is complete and ready to enjoy.
The black down-rod pictured is 12 inches long but I will swap it out for one that is 3, 6, or 18 inch in either galvanized or black at no extra charge.

UL Listed sockets
, for my commercial buyers. (No extra charge). Simply specify at checkout or in an email before or after purchase.
Lights will be shipped with the rod and hangers removed to insure safe arrival; re-assembly is EASILY accomplished by purchaser. I even include the wire nuts but also suggest that all electrical items should be checked and installed by a professional electrician.
