#1138 "Verona" (our fav coffee) Black Romney 9.0 lbs raw Wool Fleece skirted - May 2021
4.5" to 5" length
NOTE:  This fleece looks different in different lights and at different sections along the length and body.  Brown on the outside, silver gray in the middle, and dark dark gray/black near the skin - usually. All the photos you see are true (I'm a photographer).  The sweater was made a few years ago from 1138 Verona, with no dyes.
Shorn May 2021
This is from our small 9 sheep flock in central New York
Rotationally grazed on lush grass from May - Oct
Penned for the winter with access to a small outdoor paddock (they could care less about -xx* F snowy weather!), fed Blue Seal Shepherd 16 grain, Blue Seal minerals, and local grass hay with near zero burdock or thistles.
New well water year round.
Shorn professionally by the same person year after year.
Lightly skirted of nearly all manure, belly wool, and most hay, grass, and straw material.  Unwashed.
All fleece is weighed with the same hanging digital scale after skirting, accurate to 1/10 of a pound.
Stored off ground, in open singular bag, unstacked.  I will check again for any damage or fouling before I pack.
Photos of sheep are ours and the fleece you are buying comes from these sheep.  These are not stock photos.
