Fresh from the Historic 3rd Ward in Milwaukee, these lights are in excellent condition with plenty chips on each, let's call them C condition.
These nice porcelain covered steel light fixtures are circa 1949, manufactured by the Abolite Lighting Co. The porcelain shades were simply cleaned of years of dust. They still have day-one shine.
These lights all have a flaws, bumps, bruises, chips and rust, they have quite a bit of patina. They look like they have served their intended purpose and have been well rewarded. If you love your old lights to look old, you will love these lights! If you want your lights to look new....these aren't for you.
The original sockets are in wonderful plus condition!. These are some of the prettiest sockets ever made. Note the extra attention put towards making the sockets shapely and beautiful, you won't see that these days. I added the highest quality socket extension available, machined aluminum, made in the good old USA. This extension allows the bulb to extend down into the shade rather than being lost up in the neck of the light. The advantage is far better light dispersion, far better. I've also added a good solid ground and a ground wire. These lights will perform as new, only safer than ever.
All asbestos gaskets have been safely removed and replaced with new factory cut gaskets, a very important and often overlooked procedure.
The shade is 16" in diameter.  From the bottom of the light to the point the pipe enters the fitter is 10". Total height from the bottom to the top of the swivel hanger is 17". The original galvanized down-rod is 5". I can change the down-rod to either 3", 12" or 6" free of charge, they may be new pipe and not old. Longer lengths can be purchased at your local Big Box Store inexpensively.
The newer swivel hangers allow the lights to hang plumb, (vertical)  even if your ceiling is not level, (horizontal) and also allows the lights to resist damage from accidental, (or purposeful), bumps and bruises.
The buyer will contribute .99 towards shipping of the first light. Additional lights will ship for only .99 each. I will insure all purchases for free.
In order to safely ship the lights, they will be disassembled, to be easily reassembled by the buyer.
